RCDI training
3rd - 6th Oct 2024
Course or workshop description
My RCDI courses aim to give candidates as much quality learning as possible in a fun, supportive group environment, with individualised feedback and course input from both Esther and Stu Carter. We use a mix of crags in the north and south lakes, and on the outskirts of the park...locations will depend on the weather and where participants are travelling from. We will meet at 9am on the first morning of the course, please click on the course info and sample programme PDF on my RCDI webpage for more details, and check out the RCDI handbook via the Mountain Training website. There will be lots of open discussions in a supportive environment, and we always aim to be welcoming and supportive to everyone that attends, that includes all genders, those from LGBTQ+ communities, under-represented backgrounds in the outdoors, and neurodiverse people. Please let me know when booking if you have any additional needs, or would like to discuss anything before the course. You'll be taken through the key elements of becoming a safe and highly skilled Rock Climbing Development Instructor, and have lots of opportunity to practise throughout the course. We'll spend lots of time looking at teaching and developing others as well as being a safe instructor on sport and trad crags, and you'll leave with a clear action plan and feedback moving forward. Car shares can arranged, and please let us know if you are arriving by public transport.
